“I am the door of the sheep. He who enters through me will be saved.” (Jn. 10:1-10)
On this Sunday of the Good Shepherd, Jesus tells us that He is “the door.” There are so many ideologies, so many fads and hollow promises out there that invite us to enter but leave us emptier and more confused. Jesus, on the other hand, is the door to the authentic and gratuitous love, to the service that fills the soul. Today, what “doors” are you looking into in your desperate search for happiness? Listen to his voice, which gently calls your name to orient you. Let us ask Him for the grace to let go of the attachments that hurt us, to cross over to the full life that He has prepared for us.
