” Who, then, is this I hear such things about?” Lk. 9:7-9
Herod heard about Jesus, and he is curious to see him. Saint Ignatius said that in our lives it is very important to be aware of our motivations, because they are the ones that help us discover if that which we are seeking is a deep, sincere search, or just a curiosity that has no root. We can ask ourselves today: what have we heard about Jesus, what experience do we have of Him, what motivates us to seek Him? Perhaps the answers to these questions can help us to weigh our motivations and ask him to help us grow in a sincere search for his person, his message, his way of life, even if it can uproot us from our criteria and preconceived ideas.
