“Always in prayer and supplication, pray in the Spirit at all times” Eph. 6:10-20
Saint Paul goes on to give recommendations to the Ephesians to win the fight against enemies. He warns them that these enemies are not men of flesh and blood, but evil spirits. Therefore, He exhorts them to remain in prayer, to ask the Spirit to enlighten them and keep them in constancy. Only through the Spirit can the evil that lurks be overcome. The psalmist invites us to bless the Lord because He is our shield and refuge in difficult moments. Saint Paul recommends that we always pray, both to ask for the gifts we need and to be grateful for the blessings we receive. In my prayer today, for what grace do I need to ask God? For what blessings do I want to thank Him?
