“Get up and stand in the midst.” Lk. 6:6-11
Jesus enters the synagogue and sees a man with a paralyzed hand. Regardless of the accusing looks of the scribes, He asks him to come forth, giving him back his dignity and his ability to act freely. Jesus always takes the marginalized out of the corners and puts them at the center of the community’s attention. What emotional or spiritual paralysis prevents us from reaching out to others, who are we ignoring in our environments? Let us ask the Lord to help us discover how we can be an instrument for others to regain their dignity.
