“No one pours new wine into old wineskins.” Lk. 5:33-39

The message of Jesus is always a radical novelty that cannot be contained in rigid structures or closed mentalities. He invites us to have a heart ready for renewal, capable of welcoming the freshness of the Gospel without clinging to customs that have lost their deep meaning. At times, we resist change for fear of losing control of our lives. Today, what “old wineskins” of prejudices or routines do we need to renew in order to welcome what God offers us? Where we are; do we foster environments of renewal and hope? Let us ask the Holy Spirit to help us discover how to open ourselves to the newness of the Kingdom and how to be builders of harmony in our environments.
