“Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” Lk. 5:1-11

Jesus boards Peter’s boat after a night of failure and weariness. Despite the frustration, Peter trusts his word and casts the nets once again, achieving an overabundant catch. God constantly asks us to leave our safe shores and risk trusting him, even when our strength seems to be exhausted. What fears prevent us from putting out into the deep in our projects and relationships? Are we able to invite others to trust in his promise? Let us ask Jesus to help us discover where we should cast our nets today.
