FORGIVENESS

We are moving forward on the path of Advent, a propitious time to forgive. “When he saw their faith, He said, ‘Your sins are forgiven’.” (Lk. 5:17-26) Sin paralyzes life and the heart. How many grudges we hold and how readily they lock us up in our selfishness! It is time to return to God, to return to our brothers and sisters. The Lord’s arrival brings with is so much love, compassion, and mercy. Forgiveness is the Father’s embrace that calms our loneliness and isolation; it is an embrace that exudes tender and unconditional love.
