“He cured all kinds of diseases.” Mt. 9:32-38

Jesus makes the mute speak, He opens the ears of the deaf, He makes the paralytic walk, He gives light to the one who does not see, He expels evil from the heart, He reintegrates the community, He restores life.

He spends his life doing good to those He meets along the way, He listens to the excluded, he comforts the dejected, he is the rest of those who do not find their place in the world, He calls those who need it most.

And we have not yet learned that every illness is a possibility of encounter with Him, a path of discipleship and an opportunity to remain faithful.

It is very sad to see how in some communities, the doors are closed to those who suffer from some illness, but Jesus cares for everyone as a shepherd takes care of his sheep. His unfailing love will heal us.
