“Can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while He is with them? (Mt. 9:14-15)
We are not isolated from the world. The world surrounds us also with its struggles, makes us grow in selfishness, almost as a way of defending ourselves… And when a time like this comes, we realize that someone has also taken away “the bridegroom” from us, that is, we have lost our peace, some things go wrong, we are in a bad mood, we become intolerant, we hide from those who love us. These are those moments when it seems to us that “God is absent.” Not because God is gone, but because we are moving away and the God who is Love seems far away.
However, there is a way back for us. How to do it? By the opposite paths to those that led us away from Him, and daily examination is a good time to review, discern, change, and once again feel and enjoy the companionship of the “bridegroom.”
