“The Kingdom is like a small seed.” Matthew 13:31-35.

Today’s Gospel turns us back to what the Kingdom of God is: What does it look like? It is like a mustard seed: the smallest of seeds, but when it grows, it becomes a strong tree, which can welcome the birds of the air that nest in it. This is and must be our life of prayer, nourished by the Word of God, and from good works of mercy with the smallest and most fragile of the Kingdom: “God is not in success, power or superficiality. To discover his saving presence, we must be attentive to the small, the ordinary and the everyday. Life is not only what you see. It is much more. This is what Jesus thought.” (Pagola). In what way are we a leaven of the Kingdom?
