Lk. 13:31-35: “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!”
Jesus’ mission does not depend on fear or threats, but on fidelity to the Father’s plan. Jesus knows that a road to Jerusalem is a way to the cross. Fidelity to the following of Jesus often involves risks, misunderstandings, and sacrifice. Today we are asked to be faithful without fear; Like Jesus, we must not let threats or difficulties keep us from the mission, which can involve discomfort and rejection, but we know that we have the protection of God, who helps us to maintain hope in his unfailing love. Are we persevering in our vital mission in the face of threats and difficulties?
