“The tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you..” Mt. 21:28-32

With the parable of the two sons, Jesus harshly questions those who believe themselves to be perfect because they know the law, but do not live it. The first son says “no” but reconsiders and does the will of the father; the second says “yes” but does not act. God cares more about the works of authentic conversion than empty words of apparent obedience. How many times do we promise great things to God or to others and then remain paralyzed without keeping our word! Let us ask the Lord to help us discover in what attitudes we need a true conversion and how our “yes” can be a concrete action of love and service.
