“My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.” Lk. 8:19-21

Jesus takes advantage of the arrival of his biological family to radically expand the concept of family. The true relationship of kinship that He offers is not based on blood or cultural traditions, but on trusting obedience to the Father’s will. Listening to and putting into practice the Word is what makes us truly brothers and sisters and mothers of Jesus. Do we remain only passively listening to the Gospel, without allowing it to transform our actions? The Lord invites us to belong to his most intimate family. Let us ask him to help us discover how to be more coherent between what we believe and what we do. Let us see if where we are, we build the fraternity and harmony of those who live the love of God.
