“The seed that fell on good soil are those who listen to the word with a noble heart…” Lk. 8:4-15

The sower goes out to scatter the seed generously, without calculating where it falls. The Word of God is poured out abundantly on us, but its fruit depends on the type of soil it finds within us. Sometimes we are like the hardened road, or like the stones where faith does not take root, or we allow ourselves to be drowned by the worries of life. What thistles or distractions are drowning out God’s presence in our daily lives? God patiently trusts in our ability to bear good fruit. Let us ask him to help us discover how to better prepare the soil of our hearts and how to be fertile soil that listens, retains and gives life to the Word.
