“Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.” Lk. 6:27-38

The love that Jesus asks of us, breaks all human schemes and invites us to evangelical excellence. It is not only a matter of loving those who love us, but of going to the extreme of blessing those who harm us, being merciful like the Father. This love is not weakness, but the greatest transforming force that exists to break the chain of resentment. Who is it impossible for us to forgive or look compassionately, do we dare to respond to evil with the force of good? The grace of the Lord can heal our deepest wounds and resentments, let us ask him to help us discover how to take the first step towards reconciliation.
