“On every occasion, in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your petitions be presented to God.” Phil. 4:6-9

In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells the parable of the owner who rented his vineyard to tenants and sends his servants when it is time for the grape harvest. He ends by saying that the kingdom of God will be “given to a people who will bring forth its fruits.” So, how to produce the expected fruits? St. Paul exhorts us to present our petitions to God on every occasion. It is a teaching that St. Jeanne de Lestonnac transmitted “nothing without prayer and everything as the fruit of prayer.” She knew that it is only God’s grace that allows us to bear abundant fruit; but to experience his grace, it is necessary to strengthen that relationship with him. United to the tradition of the Church, let us say to him: “May your grace, Lord, inspire our works, sustain them and accompany them; so that all our work may spring from you, as from its source, and tend to you, as to its end.”
