“Come, everything is ready”  Luke 14:15-24

The banquet is prepared and ready, where there is inclusion and space for all those who Jewish society had excluded. It is opposed to the exclusive banquet for “the elect, the pious and the good”, where the law of exclusion was made effective for all the so-called impure: the blind, lame, crippled, lepers and the poor. It is these who are the favorites of God’s love, who have a special place in the banquet of the Kingdom. In what ways are we called by God to open our hearts and allow the little ones to enter? We are called to practice sincere hospitality, to offer acceptance to all in the building of the Kingdom, where true intercultural communion of all peoples is possible.
