“If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced, even if a dead man rises.” Lk. 19-31

Today’s liturgy speaks to us of the importance of listening. A few days ago the gospel reminded us that Jesus made known that his family are those who listen to the word of God and put it into practice. Today, with this story that Jesus tells to the Pharisees, he wants to teach that listening is necessary to mobilize our faith, to stop looking at ourselves and look at the needs of the people around us. Let us ask him to help us to have our ears, eyes, hearts and hands open so that we can listen to him and live according to what He stirs up in us through his message. May our way of living be one of total openness so that we may be instruments of his love and his truth.
