The Word of God is the power of God at work in believers. 1 Thess.2:9-13
In the text that is proposed to us to pray today, Paul continues to review his missionary experience with the Thessalonians. His words have something of an appreciation of his ministry and a lot of manifestation of affection. And something very important: Paul knows that the proclamation of the Gospel must be supported by an impeccable life and so he mentions his manual work, so as not to be a burden for them who were generally poor. Perhaps he is referring to his work as a tent weaver (Acts 18). Verse 13 is very valuable for our prayer: that interweaving between the human word of the evangelizer; the Word of God that is proclaimed by him and the power of that Word of God that acts in believers. Let us also contemplate, from our experience, that mystery of the action of the Spirit, who creates and maintains the life of the Church of all times. Let us pray for evangelizers from near and far.
