“The Kingdom of God resembles…” Mt. 13:31-35

It is difficult to define the Kingdom of God. Everything that is really important, since it has no measure and is infinite, cannot be contained in a sentence. Love, friendship, faith, beauty, kindness…

Jesus knows that there are no words to do so, so he proposes images that evoke hidden reality. For example: the mustard seed and the yeast portion.

This is how Martha’s daily life unfolded, the witness that the Church invites us to contemplate today: at home, among her chores, from the smallest and most irrelevant, Martha gave everything to serve others.

What does the Kingdom of God look like in our daily lives, what images, faces of the everyday landscape reveal the Kingdom to you, what are we doing to make the Kingdom visible? Let us ask Martha to teach us to discover the extraordinary in the ordinary of life.
