Abiding in Jesus provokes a profound joy that is the source of proclamation, of mission, of fruitfulness in the part of the Kingdom entrusted to us. Is that joy apparent on our faces? Easter joy does not ignore the cross, but has passed through it and our world needs it. Jeanne de Lestonnac prayed with Psalm 124: “the net was torn, and we escaped”…, which sums up an experience of life repeated several times at crucial moments, with a deep Easter feeling. If “God is the song of the heart,” what is our inner song? Is it the result of our joy? Let the words of this psalm resound in our hearts. In Jesus, his overflowing joy was his “Abba”, the communion of the Father with Him and with the little ones, the humble ones of all times.
