COMPANY OF MARY

Luz Uribe, odn

The Province of the Pacific is made up of Community Groups led by a Local Superior.

These groups are Apostolic Communities, for whom “to be gathered in the name of the Lord, expresses itself above all by the union of hearts, in order to make credible the message we proclaim”. (Constitutions ART XIII, 1)

Each community expresses in practical terms the characteristics of our Institute in an Apostolic
Community Project, which will determine, in accordance with our Constitutions, the profile and life-style which are appropriate for the local situation.

“The Project indicates the organization of time, in accordance with the demands of the life of Prayer, the Mission, Community Life and work. (ART. XIII, 12)

“The personal experience of prayer gives us an internal knowledge of the person of Jesus and his saving project and leads us to be contemplatives in action”. (ART IV, 1)

Fraternal Life is nourished by the Word, personal prayer, the Liturgy, celebrated in the Sacraments.

It has its daily rhythm in personal and community prayer; monthly, in the Retreat that is made from a guide prepared by one of the religious of the Province, in sequence with the chosen themes: Our Lady, Ignatian Spirituality, The Person of Saint Jeanne, our Charism, and the Synod, among others.

Aware that we are a Community for a Mission in the Church, our AIM is to consecrate ourselves, with all our strength, to the proclamation of the Kingdom, anywhere in the world where greater service of God and the good of people, especially youth, women, families and the poor, is expected.  (ART. II, 1)
