“You cannot serve God and money-.” Luke 16:9-15
“We cannot serve God and money.” It is one of the most emphatic affirmations of the Gospel. God represents truth, trust, love, fidelity, responsibility, solidarity, justice. Money, on the other hand, represents interest in material things, luxuries, appearances, the search for image and prestige, unfairness, greed. Our heart desires to do good, but do we do it to serve God or ourselves? Who, or what things do I put first in my life? Let us try to answer this in prayer today.
