“The children of this world are more cunning than the children of light.” Lk 16:1-8
The parable of the unjust steward may sound strange to us, and we could say that Jesus exalts corruption. Jesus does not praise the unfaithfulness of the unjust employee, on the contrary, he fires him. What stands out is the intelligence of this man, since he seeks to win the favor of his friends, so that they will later help him. It is the invitation that Jesus makes to us to be creative and bold in evangelization, to respond to the realities of the times with astuteness, where the Holy Spirit propitiates new paths of renewal so that we do not remain in the expression: “It has always been done this way.” Is there innovation and creativity in our pastoral and evangelization methods?
