“He sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” Lk. 9:1-6
Jesus sends the Twelve on a special mission. He sends them to liberate, to teach that the Kingdom of God is already present, to heal the sick so that they may live a life to the fullest. The Twelve, as well, will be able to live a life to the fullest as they live the mission entrusted to them. It is necessary, therefore, to begin this journey of fulfillment, to set out on a journey, with the necessary disposition of those who are pilgrims, of those who set out with the knowledge that they have something to offer but they have much more to receive. After all, it is God himself whom they serve, the same One who gives them the grace to do what corresponds to them in order to live the mission to which they are called. Let us discern: What is the Lord sending us to do today?
