“Whoever can be trusted with little can also be trusted with much. Lk. 16:1-13

It seems that Jesús is praising the attitude of this administrator who must give an account of his management because of the rumors that have reached the ears of his boss. That could be if we only stay with the first part of the text. Jesus invites us to be faithful “in the little” entrusted to us, for we, too, are stewards, not masters of what we receive. In the light of this Gospel and taking advantage of the Eucharistic celebration, let us become aware of what we are stewards of in our lives. Let us ask ourselves sincerely if our attitude towards these “goods” is ready for service, for others, for the building of the Kingdom, or if we are living the opposite.
