“As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like.” Lk. 6:43-49
Jesus insists on the invitation he makes us to follow him, but in today’s gospel, he speaks to us of three actions that are necessary and complementary to properly ground ourselves in him. He speaks of: “come to me”, “listen” and “put into practice”. We can say that these three actions are those of the people who try to be consistent with what they believe, think and do. Jesus calls us to live radicalism and it is only possible to live it from coherence, but sometimes, it is complicated for us because we can stay in following and listening and disregard action. Let us present our desires to the Lord and ask him to help us live them in our daily lives. May listening to his Word lead us to transform our way of life so that we can be grounded in him.
