Third Week of Easter
“This is the will of the Father, that everyone who sees the Son should have eternal life.” Jn. 6:35-40
In this short reading from John’s Gospel, we can observe some categorical statements of Jesus regarding himself, his promises, teachings, revelations, the will of the Father, and the fulfillment of all this, in everyone who listens, believes, and lives with love and faith. At this time, we might ask ourselves about our commitment to know, seek, and fulfill the Father’s will in the place and time we are living. Perhaps we have to be more truthful with our actions and more faithful to the love of God who invites us to rise with Jesus, to be disciples who propagate and live His Word. Let us be attentive to the signs of the times to discover what our task really is in the Kingdom of the Lord. We must discover where and how we can all live in peace and justice to quench our hunger and our thirst, not only bodily, but also spiritually, to reach the long-awaited fullness that allows us to rise above and be happy.
