Friday, November 01 “Feast of All Saints”

“Rejoice, for your reward will be great in heaven.” Mt. 5:1-12a

To celebrate the feast of All Saints is to feel called and involved in walking a path. Holiness is a proposal of life for all. It is to live in like Jesus, from the prospect of the Beatitudes: “He calls happy the poor, those who suffer, those who weep, those who hunger and thirst for justice, the merciful, the pure in heart, those who work for peace, and those who are persecuted for their faith.” In short, it is working to be happy, not from a world that offers happiness in the accumulation of power and wealth, or from social prestige. Rather, it is working to be happy from a place of solidarity and compassion.

Are you a testimony of happiness, in the midst of the darkness of this world?
