“Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.” (Luke 7:36-50
Through this Text, let us learn from Jesus’ attitudes: Listen: Jesus hears the pleas of a Pharisee to come to his house to eat with him. Acceptance: Jesus goes to the house of the Pharisee, and sits at his table, even though he knows that he does not believe in Him. He makes no distinction between persons: Jesus does not reject anyone, He did not reject either the Pharisee or the sinner who prostrated herself before him. He instructs: Jesus, knowing the Pharisee’s thought, questions him, making him understand his error. He is compassionate and merciful: Jesus forgives those who humbly recognize and repent of their sins. 6. Savior: Jesus says to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” Only in Jesus with Him and following his example, will we find salvation; that is our faith. Let us ask God for the grace to make the attitudes of Jesus become a reality in our own life.
