“Blessed are…” Mt. 13:16-17

Today we celebrate the feast of St Joachim and St Anne, the parents of Mary.

In the gospel Jesus invites us to be happy because of what we have seen and heard. What would Mary’s parents see and hear in her? What do we see and hear from her?

Let us dedicate this prayer to contemplating Mary; In the events of the Annunciation, the Visitation, the wedding at Cana, at the side of Jesus, learning from Him, celebrating with Him, in the Passion, Death and Resurrection.

Let us remember the women who have brought us to Jesus and give thanks for them.
