The soil was shallow. Mt. 13:1-9

The parable of the sower is perhaps the one we have heard and tried to understand the most.

It is said that the seed is the Word of God and that the different soils are the states of our heart. Sometimes it falls on the side of the road and does not touch us inside; other times it falls on stony ground and is killed by the hardness of our heart;  in other terrains, by superficiality, we suffocate it with our affective disorders; but then suddenly, it finds us fertile and bears fruit.

In our world today, the desire to beautify bodies and to tailor them according to the interests of others, is becoming more and more profitable, and the inner world is being increasingly neglected.

Let us talk to God about how our hearts are and prepare a fruitful soil for him so that his Word may remain alive in us.
