Friday, May 3: “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father” (Jn. 14:8).

Jesus makes an astonishing statement and says that He is the true way to Life. It is addressed to Philip, but also to each one of us. There is an identification between the Father and the Son, as well as an invitation for the face of Jesus to appear in the face of every person who has made the Paschal Journey. “Glory” is intensity of presence. The Glory of the Father was the essential mission of Jesus. For Jeanne de Lestonnac, there was no other motto than to work “for the greater glory of God”, “either suffer or die” and the desire to  have a thousand lives to offer. Jeanne lived a vocation of total dedication to the salvation of souls, as it was said in her time. Let us also ask for this intense passion for our hearts as an Easter gift. Let us ask the Lord to make us his true witnesses.
