One of the fruits of the Spirit is the joy of God. He shares it with us. Jesus exclaims, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and have revealed them to little ones.” It was a public prayer, of thanksgiving to the Father. In this way, He teaches us what we should all do: always thank him for his immense love.

Jesus thanks the Father for revealing the secrets of God’s Kingdom to simple people. This is possible because this experience requires openness, breaking down every barrier to enter into a relationship from the heart, with God, and in this the simple ones surpass us.

Jesus will reveal to us the mysteries of the Kingdom because He knows the Father. It shows us a good God who desires our happiness.  It is necessary to know Jesus, to enter into an intimate relationship with Him and thus our life becomes like His. Following him in this way makes us experience that we are blessed.
