ST. ANDREW THE APOSTLE
In the homily of Bishop St. John Chrysostom, we find this comment on the life of St. Andrew, the apostle: “Andrew, after remaining with Jesus and learning many things from him, did not hide the treasure for himself, but ran in haste in search of his brother, to share with him his discovery.” We are preparing for a very beautiful liturgical season, Advent, in which through word and the Spirit, we are instructed in the art of hope. A whole pedagogy to desire and hope for a new birth of Jesus in our lives. Let us ask for the grace to prepare our hearts to welcome Jesus and, like Saint Andrew the Apostle, to be able to share our treasure with those who need it.
