The resurrection is the most important event in human history. It is the ultimate victory of life over death, of light over darkness, of love over hate. It is the supreme manifestation of God’s power that transforms our lives and makes us partakers of his very life. The Lord invites us to change our lives, to awaken to true life, to stop living asleep in our routines, in our comfort, in our resignation. The resurrection is the eruption of the new in our lives, it is the breath of the Spirit that renews us and creates us anew. To believe in the resurrection means, rather, to be disposed in the confidence that God is a God of the living and that eternity begins here and now.
